Guests must be 18 or over and will be required to show photographic ID on entry, as alcohol will be served throughout the evening and a cash bar will be available for additional beverages. 


The Masquerade begins at 7.00 pm and concludes at 11.30 pm. Guests with the Premium Upgrade may enter from 6.00 pm. 


The Premium Upgrade includes early access from 6.00 pm, a Regency dance workshop, an additional glass of prosecco and two extra canapés. It does not include event admission and must be purchased alongside an Early Bird or Standard ticket. 


Yes. Guests may upgrade to the Premium experience after purchasing a Standard or Early Bird ticket but there are only a limited number available. Please contact us and we will assist you with the upgrade, as Premium Upgrades must be linked to an existing admission ticket and cannot be purchased on their own through Ticket Tailor. 


Regency inspired attire is encouraged, but modern formalwear is equally welcome. 


No. Guests must arrive fully dressed for the event. Oxford Town Hall has toilets, including accessible facilities, but there are no changing rooms available. 


Yes. A cloakroom will be available for coats and small personal items. We kindly ask guests to bring only essential belongings, as large bags cannot be stored or brought into the event. Small security checks may be carried out on arrival to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. 


Masks are optional, but they add to the atmosphere of the evening.


We can provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and allergy friendly options. Please indicate your needs when purchasing your ticket. 

No, guests may not bring their own food or drink into the event, as catering service is provided on site. The only exception is for medically required items, which may be brought in if needed. If you have specific medical or dietary requirements, please contact us in advance so we can support you. 


There is no designated smoking area within the venue. Guests who wish to smoke or vape may step outside the building and re-enter afterwards. We kindly ask that you keep a respectful distance from the entrances while doing so, and please note that standard reentry checks may apply when returning to the event. 


Photographers and videographers will be present to capture the magic of the evening.


Guests may bring small digital cameras, but larger cameras or video equipment are not permitted. Professional photographers and videographers will be capturing the evening, and limiting personal equipment helps us maintain the immersive atmosphere of the masquerade. 


Yes, guests may take photos and short videos on their phones. We simply ask that you are mindful of those around you so everyone can enjoy the atmosphere. If you share your content on social media, please tag House of Tynes. 


Digital tickets are accepted. Simply show your ticket on your phone at entry.


All ticket sales are final and non refundable.


Yes. Tickets may be transferred to another guest up to 30 days before the event. The original buyer must email us with the full details of the new attendee so we can update our records. Transfers cannot be made after this deadline for safety and event management reasons. 


Yes. If all Standard tickets sell out, a waitlist will open. Guests on the waitlist will be contacted in order if additional tickets become available. 


Yes. Regency dancers will perform throughout the evening. The Regency dance workshop is only available with the Premium Upgrade and takes place during the early access hour. 


Absolutely. Many guests attend solo, and the evening is designed to be welcoming and inclusive. 


Yes. St Aldate’s Room will serve as a calm retreat for guests who may need a quiet moment away from the main event. 


Oxford Town Hall is centrally located and close to public car parks and transport links. Please check local parking options before arriving as the venue does not have allocated standard parking.

Yes. Oxford Town Hall offers step free access, lifts and accessible facilities. If you have specific access needs, please let us know in advance. More information can be found at https://www.oxfordtownhall.co.uk/about/accessibility/


Yes. We warmly welcome guests who need support to attend. Essential carers are offered complimentary admission, with only a small catering fee based on the guest’s ticket type. After you have purchased your own ticket, simply get in touch and we will arrange a carer ticket for your companion once we have the information we need to confirm eligibility. We may ask for a small amount of supporting information to ensure the policy is used fairly, and we will guide you through this simple process. 


 

Support animals are welcomed at Oxford Town Hall, including assistance dogs, emotional support animals and assistance dogs in training. All support animals must remain under your care and control during the event, and some documentation may be required depending on the type of support animal. As admission is reviewed on an event-by-event basis, we kindly ask guests to check the full guidance provided by Oxford Town Hall and email us before attending.
